Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Video Editor mobile application ("the App", "we", "us"), a video editing app for Android and iOS developed by Ibrahim Hassan, handles information when you use it. The App works without sign-up, we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details, and we do not keep any data about you on our own servers.

1. Your Videos Stay on Your Device

All editing (trimming, cropping, rotating, adjustments, filters, text, stickers, speed and volume) and exporting happen on your device. Your videos, covers and the text you type are never uploaded to us or to any of the services listed below.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following only on your device:

This data is deleted when you uninstall the App.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob:

To serve and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect information such as your advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA, where available), IP address, approximate (non-precise) location, device information and how you interact with ads. Google processes this data under its own privacy practices; we do not receive or store it ourselves. Video Editor Pro subscribers are not shown ads.

Consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another region where consent is required, the App shows Google's consent message before any ad is requested. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.

More information and controls:

4. Usage Analytics and Crash Reports (Google Firebase)

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used (for example how often it is opened), and Firebase Crashlytics to receive a report when the App crashes or hits an unexpected error so we can fix it. These services collect technical information such as an app instance or installation identifier, device model, operating system and app version, language, approximate location (country or region, derived from your IP address), session information and, for crashes, details of the error. This data is not linked to your name or any account, since the App has neither. Learn more: Firebase and Privacy.

5. Meta (Facebook) App Events

To measure how many people install the App from our ads on Facebook and Instagram, the App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK. It sends Meta an event when the App is opened, together with device information (such as device model, operating system, app version and, where available and allowed, your advertising identifier). Meta uses this to count installs from our campaigns. The App has no Facebook login and does not share your videos or any content with Meta.

The Meta SDK starts only after the consent described in section 3 allows ads (or where consent is not required). If you do not consent, nothing is sent to Meta. Learn more: Meta Privacy Policy.

6. Push Notifications (OneSignal)

The App may send optional push notifications through OneSignal. If you allow notifications when asked, OneSignal assigns your device a push token and processes basic device information (operating system, device model, app version and general region) needed to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device's notification settings. Learn more: OneSignal's Privacy Policy.

7. Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

Where available (currently on iOS), the App offers Video Editor Pro, a subscription that removes ads and gives unlimited edits. Purchases are made and billed entirely through Apple's App Store; we never see or store your payment details. To confirm and keep track of your subscription, we use RevenueCat, which receives your purchase receipts and an anonymous identifier generated by the App. Learn more: RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

8. Updates, Ratings and These Pages

Like any web request, these include your IP address and basic technical details; the App does not add any personal identifier to them.

9. Children's Privacy

Video Editor is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App or a third-party service it uses, please contact us at the address below and we will help remove it.

10. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA and Similar Laws)

We do not keep any data about you on our own servers. Requests to access, correct, delete or opt out of the sale or sharing of data concern the identifiers processed by Google (AdMob, Firebase), Meta, OneSignal and RevenueCat; you can use your device's ad, tracking and notification settings, the links above, or contact those providers. Uninstalling the App deletes everything it stored on your device.

11. Data Retention and Security

Your videos and app data stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Analytics data is kept for a limited time as set in Google Analytics. Data processed by Google, Meta, OneSignal and RevenueCat is kept and protected according to each provider's own policies. The App's network requests use encrypted connections (HTTPS).

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
