Need help with Video Editor? Most questions are answered below. If you can't find what you're looking for, email us at ahmadnasser.aff@gmail.com. Please include your device model and what you were doing when the problem happened.
How do I edit a video?
Tap + Video on the home screen and pick a video from your gallery. In the editor, choose a tool at the bottom:
- Trim: drag the handles to keep the part you want (1 to 60 seconds).
- Adjust: brightness, contrast, saturation, exposure, warmth, tint, highlights, shadows, fade and vignette.
- Filters: pick a look and set its strength.
- Text: add text in several fonts, including Arabic fonts, with colors and backgrounds. Drag to move, pinch to resize and twist to rotate.
- Stickers: add emoji and place them the same way.
- Speed: play your video from 0.25x to 4x; voices keep their natural pitch.
- Volume: turn the sound down or mute it.
- Cover: choose a frame to export as a picture.
Crop and rotate are at the top of the editor. Press and hold the video to compare with the original. When you're done, tap Export, then Save.
Free edits
- Each saved video or cover uses one free edit.
- When you run out, you can watch a short optional video to get one more free edit (an internet connection is needed).
- Video Editor Pro gives unlimited edits and removes ads (currently on iPhone).
Saving and sharing
- Saved videos and covers appear in the app's home and Covers tabs. From there you can save them to your gallery, share them or add them to your favorites.
- If saving to the gallery fails, allow photo access for Video Editor in your device's settings.
- Exports with only a trim are very fast. Exports with crop, rotation, adjustments, filters, text or stickers take a little longer because the video is re-encoded on your device.
Restore a subscription
If you subscribed to Video Editor Pro and it doesn't show on a new or reinstalled iPhone, open the Pro screen and tap Restore while signed in to the same Apple ID. To manage or cancel your subscription, use your App Store account settings. For refunds, please contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Ads and privacy
Video Editor is free and shows ads. Full-screen ads are limited in how often they appear and never interrupt an export. Video Editor Pro removes all ads. Where your consent is required, you can change your ad choices any time in Settings โ Privacy choices. See our Privacy Policy for how the app handles your information; your videos never leave your device unless you share them.
Something isn't working
- Make sure you have the latest version of Video Editor from the App Store or Google Play.
- If a video won't open, check that it is at least 1 second long and that the app is allowed to access your photos.
- If an export fails, free up some storage on your device and try again.
- Still stuck? Email us at ahmadnasser.aff@gmail.com and we'll help.
